School Development Plan

Each year, the school produces a School Development Plan (SDP). The SDP outlines the main priorities of the school and the areas that we feel that we need to improve. The SDP is usually related to:

  • Raising standards of learning and teaching
  • Setting challenging targets related to the curriculum and the whole school environment
  • Providing high quality resources throughout the school
  • Providing staff with appropriate resources and training so that they are able to improve their practice and carry out their roles effectively
  • Providing a safe and interesting learning environment

 

The main areas of this year’s (2014-15) School Development Plan are:

  • Raising achievement in writing
  • Improving the quality of teaching from good to outstanding
  • Planning and implementing upgrades to the school's ICT infrastructure and hardware
  • Introducing a new assessment system to match the 'new curriculum'
  • Introduce a marketing plan to support existing pupil numbers
