School Development Plan
Each year, the school produces a School Development Plan (SDP). The SDP outlines the main priorities of the school and the areas that we feel that we need to improve. The SDP is usually related to:
- Raising standards of learning and teaching
- Setting challenging targets related to the curriculum and the whole school environment
- Providing high quality resources throughout the school
- Providing staff with appropriate resources and training so that they are able to improve their practice and carry out their roles effectively
- Providing a safe and interesting learning environment
The main areas of this year’s (2014-15) School Development Plan are:
- Raising achievement in writing
- Improving the quality of teaching from good to outstanding
- Planning and implementing upgrades to the school's ICT infrastructure and hardware
- Introducing a new assessment system to match the 'new curriculum'
- Introduce a marketing plan to support existing pupil numbers
